"Rattle Test"

Please read the following if you are purchasing based on an at home rattle test. There is a lot of misinformation about this test online.

All relays, new or used, will have a slight rattle when shaken. This is normal due to the internal plastic components. The rattle that indicates a bad relay is very distinct and sounds like broken glass or marbles inside the relay.

The rattle test is not very reliable because not all bad relays will rattle. We receive many messages from customers asking why a new relay rattles similarly to their old one, and this is completely normal.
